The Llanterna bar of the Auditorium of Barcelona renews its image

Andrea Soto chose Lottus Wood chairs and lounges

The Llanterna bar, located at the main entrance of the Auditorium of Barcelona, one of the well-known buildings of the Rafael Moneo architect, renewed its space thanks to the work done by the Andrea Soto interior design studio. The new aesthetics had to respect the style of the Auditorium and its concert halls, which was achieved thanks to the furniture, materials and lighting used.

In this sense, the reddish wood of ceilings, walls and bar was kept, and the two ends of the bar were covered with a gray velvet curtain, which was illuminated with projectors. Besides, Andrea Soto chose Lottus Wood chairs with birch structures and wine-colored polypropylene shells and lounges from the same collection.

The space was distributed in several areas for different uses: a dining area, a café one and a music space where customers can sit and enjoy live piano music under the images of some great artists that have performed in the Auditorium.

The Auditorium of Barcelona is a modern building of 42,000 square meters that was inaugurated on 22nd March 1999 to hold concerts, teaching, and music knowledge transmission.
