Kālida Sant Pau was inaugurated in Barcelona on May 9 with the aim of supporting people with Cancer, as well as their caregivers and family members, in the different phases of the oncological process.

Located a few meters from the Oncology Service of the Hospital Sant Pau in Barcelona, Kālida has a program that complements medical treatments thanks to specialized professionals, such as psycho-oncologists, nurses, social workers and therapists, who provide emotional, social and free support.

In order to alleviate a situation of anguish and gain confidence, open spaces that are very different from the aesthetics of a hospital environment have been created. The facilities, which have a 400 square meter building distributed over two floors and a garden of 650 square meters, have been designed selflessly by Benedetta Tagliabue architect, from Miralles Tagliabue EMBT studio.

In terms of the design of the different interior spaces, several brands have donated their products, including Enea. In this way, seven Movado office chairs can be found in the office of the Center’s assistance team, which will allow professionals to work in a comfortable and ergonomic way.

Promoted by Fundació privada Nous Cims and Fundació privada Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, with the collaboration of Fundació de Gestió Sanitària del Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, Kālida Centers are part of the international network of Maggie’s.
