El Pilar pastry shop: an establishment with a Nordic atmosphere
The Lottus collection, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, in the new El Pilar pastry shop in Murcia with Nordic reminiscences
El Pilar pastry shop is an establishment located in the town of Lorqui (Murcia), famous for its exquisite sweets for more than 40 years. After a long and fruitful career, the owners considered that it was time to change the image of the property. It was essential to provide the cafeteria with more space and to improve the ergonomics of the work area.
The NOMO Architecture and Interior Design studio was in charge of executing the renovation project. A minimalist renovation but it stands out for its Nordic atmosphere. The use of wood in the vertical strips on the wall of the cafeteria area and the tasting bar, and the use of light tones, give the El Pilar pastry shop a stylish and warm Scandinavian style. But it has such sobriety that it was necessary a touch of color that was obtained by the use of the seats, stools and chairs, of the Lottus collection.
Lottus is an elegant design inspired by nature’s forms. A comfortable, relaxed and fresh contemporary furniture concept that breaks the barriers between work and home space. The elegance of the lines of the Lottus stools and chairs and the intense color of its lacquer dominate the new space of El Pilar pastry shop, modeling the visual calm.
The combination of the colors, the elegance of the Lottus lines and the comfort of this collection of seats, define El Pilar as a bold property with distinction. A new space in which to taste the specialties of the local pastry-making in a Scandinavian atmosphere with an innovative furniture of Spanish design.
