Enea products will equip the VIP Lounge at ARCOmadrid 2021

The proposal presented by Studio Animal, Estudio Gonzalo del Val and Toni Gelabert is the winner of the contest for the interior design

The contest to find new ideas and designs for the creation of the Vip Lounge at ARCOmadrid has already a winner for the 2021 edition. The project of the team made up of Studio Animal, Estudio Gonzalo del Val and Toni Gelabert is a ‚forest‘ where it is always ‚daytime‘ and will have, among other elements, a great ’sun‘ that will permanently illuminate the room and more than 90 large trees.

As its creators explained, the project generates a space based on the demands of the current health situation: „The separation between trees in the grid is 3 meters in both directions, which means a beaconing of the space that raises the awareness of the interpersonal distance“.

The contest was organized by ARCO and the association of design companies RED-AEDE, of which Enea is a member, in collaboration with AD magazine. In this way, we will take part in the project by providing furniture from our collections.

The winning team must design the different spaces that the VIP Lounge houses. Specifically, a 700-square-meter one that will house the entrance area and the bar/lounge, which includes a bar counter and 4 corners for tasting different products. Besides, a 250-square-meter space in which a restaurant with a capacity for 100-150 people will be located.

The fair’s VIP lounge is one of the most anticipated elements and, like in other editions, a very creative proposal has been chosen this year. „The winning team has developed a project that identifies with the essence of nature brought from the outside to the inside. A serene and bright interior/exterior space to rest, reflect and talk”, said Marisa Santamaría, director of RED-AEDE.
