Lottus gets it by magic

The Lottus collection, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, finds its way into the Birlibirloque restaurant. A new culinary space in the city of Valencia where the Lottus chairs and stools adapt, with skill and mastery, to the restaurant’s idiosyncrasies.

Market cuisine is what you can taste at Birlibirloque’s. A gastrobar, as it is defined by its owners, who have created a kitchen concept accessible and close to the needs of workers from the surrounding offices.

The restaurant, located in the heart of Valencia city, in Calle de la Paz 7, has nearly 900 square meters in a completely open space. The interior design, developed by Cosín studio has been divided into two environments -the tapas zone and the restaurant area- for a quick or a complete meal. And, for both uses, the interior designers have chosen the Lottus seats in polypropylene and with a metal frame in different colors.

Birlibirloque is a wink to the earth’s decorative style. At the entrance, in front of the bar, cohabit the Lottus stools in different colors and long and high tables with an elegant floor made with the characteristic Valencian tile. There are also some octagonal tiles on the ceiling, but this time in wood. A decorative and functional solution.

The Lottus seat collection, which has been designed bearing in mind the need for functionality and versatility, adapts to a variety of spaces, offering elegance and distinction to any environment. Its wide color palette, finishes and versions makes it a functional collection for residential and public environments.

Marginal note: In caló language, “birlar” and “Birloque” mean, respectively, “swindle” and “thief”. “Birlar” is also used in the sense of getting something skillfully keeping in secret the means used for it, which not necessarily need to be theft or fraud.
